Venetian Deep Stack Extraganza

It has been a while since my last post, so I thought I would report on my failed effort to Super Satellite into the Venetian DSE Main Event. On Sunday February 22nd, 2009 I played in two the Super Satellites .... I lasted to Level 7 in the 1st and to Level 6 in the 2nd tournament. You only get 4000 chips to start and the structure is not very good. The blinds structure totally misses the point of having antes... Antes are measured as to their ratio of ante as compared to the small blind. For example a perfectly acceptable level is 100 small blind with a 200 large blind and a 25 ante... This is a 4:1 SB:ante ratio. The next level is 200 SSB and 400 large blind with only a $25 ante .. This is 8:1 that makes stealling the blinds less appealing. The next level is bad also a 300 SB and 600 LB with only a $50 ante a 6:1 ratio ...... I makes it more difficult to chip up....
Any way I missed out on this tournament ... Good Luck to my many friends who will play.
On a personal note I have really go on the stick as far as my physical condition. I have went to the gym 11 days in a row. I even went tonight after spending 12 hours at the Venetian ... I went to the gym after 11PM ... I went I was tired but I went. I have been eating clean the last 4 days... I highly recommend the mixed berries table service at the Venetian ... a big bowl of strawberries, black berries, blue berries, and razz berries. WOW is this good eating. I ordered it even though it is not on the menu and 2 others at the able ended up ordering it after they saw it.
