I have been playing poker since I have been 13 years old, that is 40 years and as far as I can remember last night I made my 5^th Royal Flush and this won the was the meanest of them all a Spade Royal Flush.

 

I was playing in a no-limit game and was immediately left of a player who I was currently referring to in my mind as Mr. Tilty as he had lost a few pots including the previous pot. He had straddled and I limped with an As 10s .  Several people called and the flop came down as  Js Qs 9h  .  I flopped a Royal Flush draw .. the NUT straight could be made with any 8 or any K and a flush with any spade, and I had an overcard to the board. I checked and a player in MP bet $50 into a $50 pot , MR. Tilty called the $50 and I check raised to $200 … The player who opened for $50 in MP had approximately $500 total and he insta- pushed all in. This scared MR. Tilty and he folded.  I now counted the pot and there was approx $600+ in the pot and $310 to call for me. I figured I had about a 50% chance to make the winning hand and was getting 2 -1 to call so I made the call. I turned the Royal Flush and found out my insta-pushing opponent had a Q 10 off suit less than a pushing hand in my opinion but top pair 10 kicker and and an open end straight draw.

 

I win … my 5^th Royal Flush in my lifetime and the second time that I used 2 cards in my hand while playing Holdem.

 

 

 

   

I was playing some poker at Caesar’s this week and a strange thing happened.

 

I was sitting in Seat number 3 and I was involved in a decent size pot. I had an experienced player setting in seat number 1.

The player in seat number 1 had a stacks of chips 30 or more high instead of the standard 20 high stack.

 

As the dealer was pushing me the rather large pot (remember I was sitting in seat 3) the dealer’s elbow hit seat number 1’s stack and knocked the chips into his lap and onto the floor. The player in seat 1 was startled and as I was stacking up my win, the player in seat number 1 started throwing chips into my pot. His chips into my pot … It took him several seconds to realize that he was tossing his chips into my pot and then he stopped. Nobody knew how many he threw so they called the floor. They tried reconstructing the pot but that would not work because I had already stacked a couple of stacks into my normal chip configuration. The floor was stumped, I suggested they call the security department and run the tape. Thirty minutes later the floor said security had freeze framed between 12 and 16 chips and been tossed into my pile, but the casino would be able to make an absolute number. We split the difference and I gave them back to the player in seat 1.
